Oxford Sigma is proud to announce that it has been awarded the UK Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award, the highest honour available to UK employers demonstrating exceptional support for the Armed Forces community.
The Gold Award recognises organisations that go beyond policy commitments to actively champion Service personnel, veterans, Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and military families. It highlights employers that embed the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant into their culture, employment practices and long-term business strategy.

Having signed the Armed Forces Covenant on 9 April 2021, the company has consistently strengthened its commitment to those who serve. The company’s efforts were first recognised through the award of Bronze Status in 2023, followed by Silver Status in 2025. Attaining Gold status in 2026 reflects years of sustained effort, advocacy and demonstrable support by Oxford Sigma for the Armed Forces community.

About the Armed Forces Covenant
Signing of the Armed Forces Covenant is a key requirement of the ERS Awards and it is a promise that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and their families, including the bereaved, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society they serve with their lives. Its two principles are that, recognising the unique obligations of, and sacrifices made by, the Armed Forces:
- Those who serve in the Armed Forces, whether Regular or Reserve, those who have served in the past, and their families, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services.
- Special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those who have given most such as the injured and the bereaved.
