Lithium ceramics for tritium breeding
Oxford Sigma is actively developing a portfolio of lithium breeding ceramics for fusion applications.
While our current development and manufacturing experience is focused on lithium metatitanate (Li₂TiO₃), we are advancing additional breeder material systems including lithium oxide (Li₂O), lithium orthosilicate (Li₄SiO₄), advanced high-lithium-content ceramics, and lithium-6 enriched compositions.
Materials can be supplied in a range of forms including powders, granules, pellets and pebbles, subject to development status. Please contact us to discuss your specific requirements
Radiation shielding solutions for high neutron doses
Radiation shielding solutions are available in a variety of specialist materials designed for high neutron dose environments where absorption is paramount. These include Oxford Sigma’s patent pending tungsten-based solution and lightweight metal hydride solutions. These shielding materials are designed for the highest neutron dose regions such as fusion power plant components; including central columns, and toroidal field coils, across the full range of fusion approaches.
Plasma sensor system components
Oxford Sigma has developed a range of sensor system components for power plant operations including radiation tolerant mirror systems, and first-wall erosion detection systems. Contact us for more information on how these solutions can integrate with your fusion machine.
