The 13th Technical Meeting on Plasma Control Systems, Data Management and Remote Experiments in Fusion Research hosted by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) features work by Mark Anderton. The presentation, “Use of MARTe2 to enhance the JET Real-Time Central Controller” is delivered by Chris Stuart, Engineer at UK Atomic Energy Authority. This includes contributions from Mark’s thesis titled “A versatile and platform independent approach to real-time plasma physics control for fusion”.
Mark’s thesis was awarded the Open Web App (OWA) Prize for the best postgraduate computing thesis by Oxford Brookes University in 2020. We are proud to celebrate Mark’s achievements during his postgraduate work whilst at UKAEA prior to joining us at Davis & Musgrove Ltd.
The IAEA Technical Meeting aims to provide a forum to discuss new developments in the areas of plasma control systems, data management including data acquisition and analysis, and remote experiments in fusion research.
The event aims to bring together junior and senior scientific fusion project leaders, plasma physicists, including theoreticians and experimentalists, and experts in the field of plasma control systems, data management including data acquisition and analysis, and remote experiments in fusion research.
Davis & Musgrove Ltd develops novel technologies for fusion energy, holds expertise in advanced nuclear energy, and supports the defence industry.
